Her new works on paper combine portraiture with a study
of the flora and fauna of South America and references
to colonial and indigenous art from Colombia.

Studio Visit with Nick Brown
Recently I visited the Highland Park studio of painter
Nick Brown to see his series of sculptural landscapes on unstreched canvas
inspired by tide pools and abandonded structures in the Los Angeles Forest.

Studio visit with Monique van Genderen
Recently I visited Monique van Genderen's studio in Frogtown to see
her new work - oils paintings and glaze paintings on ceramic. Check out

Studio Visit with Tyler Vlahovich
Earlier this summer I visited painter Tyler Vlahovich at his studio
in Hermon. Tyler and I share a love of textiles, and I've included a few
images from his book collection after the photos of his new paintings.
