Studio Visit with Margo Victor

Recently I visited Margo Victor's studio in Highland Park to see her films 

and paintings. I got to check out her massive animation camera set up and 

to indulge in our mutual love of real film, projected light, and analog 

processes. We watched a few films including Spy, a work in progress, 

and her recently completed project Moon Phases. 

 

Studio Visit with Carolyn Castaño

Just visited Carolyn Castaño's studio in Echo Park. 

Her new works on paper combine portraiture with a study 

of the flora and fauna of South America and references

 to colonial and indigenous art from Colombia.

 

 

 

 

Studio Visit with Nick Brown

 Recently I visited the Highland Park studio of painter 

Nick Brown to see his series of sculptural landscapes on unstreched canvas

 inspired by tide pools and abandonded structures in the Los Angeles Forest.
