Studio Visit with Stas Orlovski

Today Carolyn Castaño and I visited the studio of Stas Orlovski in Mar Vista.

Stas is participating in our curatorial project Garden Party

which will open at FOCA this September.

Stas currently has a stop-motion animation in the exhibition Cut and Paste 

 at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art through September 15. 

He will also be in 2 group shows this summer in LA 

at Marine Contemporary opening July 20th 

and Fever Dreams at Koplin del Rio opening July 13. 

Garden Party #3

The 3rd event in the Garden Party Project was a spectacular hike 

to Chantry Flat in the Angeles National Forest.

Garden Party is a project I am co-curating with Carolyn Castaño. 

About 20 artists are participating in a series of events that will 

culminate in an exhibition at FOCA in September 2013.
